The images on the moodboard show the particular aspects in which i believe are really important to have in a horror movie. First of all i like the use of enclosed spaces to create an isolation or crosstraphobic atmosphere that creates unease on the audience. The dark low key lighting creates an evil mood and suspense because you can't see with full vision which adds to the restrictive factor also motivated lighting is effective as it can create shadows and light up features or propps that you really want the audience to see. Another feature i like is the distorted long tunnel like imagery that look like they never end also it adds to the restrictive aspect again because there is only forward or back as a direction. Another scary feature is the characters themselves the most effective characters are young innocent like children that ether become victims or become a bad character which is always unsettling and the second type of charcter the female protagonist who survives after becoming face to face with the villian.STORYBOARDS
We used storyboards because they are cheap, simple to use and extremely helpful. We carefully planned the story of our film before producing it because by doing this it makes the procedure of making a film a lot easier. You can follow what you have created and maybe add or take a few things along the way. This also allows you to gain feedback before the film is made which can be expensive and time consuming if you get feedback afterwards. It's also good to focus on every last detail of the shots taken. By doing this we could decide what characters are in the frame, what camera angles should be used, what is being said, what is the time and how long is each scene.
