The marketing plan is based on getting the film noticed, many aspects are involved in order to promote the film however the main important aspects to think about are who, what, where, when and how.
1.Who- 18+ year olds
2.What- organise an event for a lot of people to get involved in
3.Where- premiere in an big city
4.When- weekend before the release
5.How- Book a venue invite the main characters to come along to attract fans, contact the papers for publicity.
The stratedgies to motivate the audience awareness is also important, luckily the film is already attractive to it's target audience because the characters within the film are of the same age which helps the audience relate to the film. However this is not enough to make them really want to go all the way and watch the film, so other methods in which i will use are interviews on television shows or radio, making the main character go on a chat show, put an article in the newpaper aimed at the same target audience so they will read it, make a website for the film so people can read up on it or come across it whilst surfing the net, make merchandise to retails to sell or fast food joints to sell with a meal etc. The main marketing strategie that is most effective is posters having a visual effect is important for attracting the audience becuase they may subconsciously take the poster into account and so remember the film without knowing how, also trailers are just as important to grab the audience as it involves cliff hangers and doesn't quiet fullfill the audiences needs which causes them to want to know more and therefore they end up watching the film. The distributions prediction on how successfull the film will be determines how much money is spent on the film marketing.
