HORROR TRAILER ''THE RING''

This trailer, i believe shows horror conventions because of the classic very low key lighting which creates an unsteady atmosphere, the 'monster' being an innocent girl, the deep theoretical music that builds suspense. The diagetic whispering sound of the girl in the scene creates a ghostly impression. Unfortunetley i don't believe this trailer does the promotion of the film justice, as it doesn't highlight the scariness or why the video is 'a bad thing' very well. However it uses the reaction shots of the characters well which shows the content of the film includes terror without showing what it is they saw. After watching the film i found that it was far more scary than what the trailer suggests.
